Skata Tones THE RETURN

Posted on Updated on

After an INCREDIBLE summer of festivals, gigs and all-round jolly good fun, Skata Tones disappeared into the studio at the end of 2017…

Now they’re back, with new tunes, fresh sounds and EVEN MORE ENERGY!

Ahead of their official return to the stage, Skata Tones raised the roof at Exeter Phoenix supporting old pals, the Dub Pistols, confirming that they’re ready to hit the road again.

With a new EP due out later in Spring 2018, the sharp-dressed party animals have prepared a showcase concert and party to kick off in Appledore, North Devon on 3rd March. With support from local legend Scott Linn and an after-party to the vibes from DJ Irie Selecta, it’s guaranteed to be a great night, courtesy of Free Of Tigers Events.

After the success of #LiveYourLifeUp EP and subsequent ‘tour’, exciting things are planned, with Skata Tones already booked in for a busy festival schedule in 2018, including Once Upon a Time in the West, Balter Festival, Lapstock, Blissfields and more announced so far (some special ones we can’t tell you about yet).

New sounds for 2018

The latest addition to the Skata Tones lineup is the multi-talented Jamie Prouse, bringing some deep electronic bass to shake the floor, and adding a light touch on the keys. Watch out for Sir Strawberry H. Jamalot wielding some new pipes and tubes, whilst Billy Hammett bashes out some hot electro rhythms from the drum riser…

One thing is for sure… When you see Skata Tones, you’ll be having fun from the first one-drop to the final chord.
